GABF

Anyone in town for the GABF? We’ll be attending the Sat afternoon session…there are all kinds of great events, releases going on all of town this week.

Prost!

I wish, but no dice.

I’m going to go next year. I have too much going on this year. That is one of the only weekends I will have at home so with all the other travel (not enough of it involving beer), I will have to miss it…

At the airport awaiting my flight! Tickets for tonight and Saturday afternoon sessions. Still figuring out plans for Friday.

Tom, if you are staying downtown (walking distance to all of these places) here is a short list of breweries/beer centered bars and most have all kinds of special tappings this week:

Freshcraft, Falling Rock Tap House, Euclid Hall, Lucky Pie, Wynkoop, Great Divide, Denver Beer Company, Prost, Amato’s Ale House, Rock Bottom, Cheeky Monk

Did you find any “can’t miss” beers at last nights session?

Have fun!

Chris

Old Hickory Brewing’s “the Event Horizon” was the surprise of the night. Phenomenal Bourbon barrel stout. Devil’s Background had some pretty solid line-up of lagers. Be sure you take a trip through the Brewers Guild section. A lot of one-offs to be had there. Also, be sure to check out Chuckanut and Laurelwood.

I was at the gym and overheard two guys talking about this, and how the tickets sold out in 2 hours or something.

Chris - now that your liver has recovered, what were your highlights?

Did you mean ‘Devil’s Backbone’? http://www.dbbrewingcompany.com/default.aspx
I’ve known Steve and Heidi Crandall since well before they stared the brewery, used to buy cases of Hefes from us for personal consumption, and thank/blame me for their beer obsession because of our wide selection of singles. Honestly their success could not happen to nicer people.
