The metal tin in a Boston shaker is usually thin and somewhat flexible, you should be able to release it by squeezing the tin or tapping on it with a bit of force with the palm of your hand. If those don’t work, you can also try running it under hot water where the metal will expand a bit and hopefully release.

run metal portion under hot water.
If you get really desperate you can try squeezing some dish soap down where the glass meets the metal, let it sit for a while, then try twisting.
I just ended up smashing the glass with a hammer .
