Finally off the wagon!

I happily fell off the wagon today after abstaining from alcohol following the removal of my wisdom teeth. Mixing Vicodin or Tylenol with alcohol = bad.

Started off the day with a trio of Burgundies which deserve their own “Wine Talk” thread, so I’ll skip them.

Later, during our weekly beer tasting I sampled a terrific sour ale from Norway (pictured here):

Wow!
Bretty, sour, and densely complex flavors in this one! Really exceptional sour ale!

We also tasted Cascade Kriek which is one of my favorite cherry sours.

To celebrate the nearly two weeks of abstention from drinking, this is what I’m drinking now:

I see now that I must be tipsy as that picture is WAY out of focus hahaha!

Itjustsohappens I bought a 750 of this Norwegian brew last Friday. I’m glad to hear it’s a good one - I look forward to drinking it once I pick it up. Welcome back.
