Oregon Brewers Guild Virtual Beerfest

This Saturday, the Oregon Brewers Guild is holding a virtual beerfest as a fundraiser. This is a Zoom event, similar to those that WB has done. The line-up of panel discussions looks really good, and includes a lager beer panel with Will Kemper (Chuckanut), Kevin Davey (Wayfinder), Ashleigh Carter (Bierstadt), and Lisa Allen (Heater Allen) and a discussion about brewing with Vinne Cilurzo (Russian River), John Mallet (Bell’s), Jamie Floyd (Ninkasi), and John Harris (Ecliptic). For those that don’t know, John Harris developed all the best beers at McMenamins (Ruby, Terminator, Hammerhead), Deschutes (Mirror Pond, Black Butte), and Full Sail before starting Ecliptic. Tickets are $5. Ticket holders can access the event that afternoon or watch the recording at a later date.

The Guild is also raffling off the opportunity to have your dog on the label of our Christmas beer, Sandy Paws (my avatar is last year’s label). Several Board members have had their dog on the label and you could be next!

You can get more information and buy tickets here.

Blind dog likes beer…well not really, but she has been to a few breweries. This pic is from Tres Litros last weekend.

The CO Brewers Guild beer fest is normally held here in Salida the second weekend of July. They have rescheduled this years for early Oct due to the COVID. It will be interesting to see the Octoberfest type beers that may show up this time.

Good luck with the virtual event Rick.
