I was shocked to see a bottlev in Binny’s when visiting last week in Chicago…I’m a huge fan of both the 12 and 18…seemed to be reviewed favorably…can anyone share their experience? Thanks in advance!

Not very interesting and somewhat harsh. Of course, I don’t like most of what Macallan makes these days, but this one stood out from the pack as something not worth the calories, even for free. But they are incredibly proud (and will tell you so) of the the special thought that went into picking the label color.
No. 6 will be the last release in series, I really liked 1 and 3, haven’t tried 5 yet, we do sell Macallan so take it for what it’s worth.
1 was great but impossible to get. 2-4 were great. Not a fan of 5.
I didn’t think 2 and 3 were very good at all, for the price. Now I’m really not interested in trying 5. There are still some much better options in this price range (Glenmorangie 18, for example).
I liked them personally but they were higher abv macallan which is usually good.
