YOERG BREWING COMPANY: Now open

#1 Post by Thomas Keim » December 13th, 2018, 1:34 pm

After four years that I could literally write a book about - we are finally opening our doors this weekend. The Yoerg Brewing Company was Minnesota's first brewery, and a local legend for 100+ years, closing in 1952. I have resurrected the brand, producing a classic Steam Beer as our flagship (from the original 150 year old recipe) and a big black Bock. We took over a classic 1885 building (Victorian architecture at it's finest) and have a full restaurant/wine bar/brewery. We are located on the historic Dayton's Bluff hillside outside of downtown St Paul, so next time anyone is in town, stop in and say hi (and have a glass of wine or beer).

Congratulations! I have relatives in the area, so there is a chance I might stop by some day.

Congratulations and good luck! I think you're hiding your light with the music selections but I get and respect the concept and respect your steadfastness (akin to your 'no IPAs' stand). I hope to get there someday.
