After 3 straight years of getting pappy 23yr I got two family members to get to grand reserve and all three of us were shut out. Very disappointing.

Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
Got selected for a George T Stagg. Feel lucky and a bit guilty based on all the disappointed folks here. Granted it is for $135 because Washington prices suck.

Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
I also was lucky enough to score the George T Stagg. Price in FL is $115. I don't remember where I had put that in my rankings, as I was debating on several. Last year we got Pappy 20. For those of you who didn't get anything - did you rank everything offered or just some of them?
I did read the George T Stagg isn't as good as previous years but will still give it a try.

And there it is... rejected. Between that and the changes to their en primeur, they've lost me as a customer.

Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
*Edited* This was the order I chose and they gave me my last choice. Was hoping that 240k points earned this year would get me at least a 20yr.
1. Pappy 23
2. Pappy 20
3. Eagle Rare 17
4. Sazerac 18
5. Pappy 15
1. Pappy 23
2. Pappy 20
3. Eagle Rare 17
4. Sazerac 18
5. Pappy 15

Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
It must be a crap shoot. I was barely GR and was lucky enough to get WLW. I’m very happy but feel bad for the rest of the GR members that got shut out. Being Grand Reserve seems to mean nothing. Honestly, if they are going to use this system, then all allocated whisky including 4RLESMB, OFBB, PHC, etc should just be placed into the lottery.

Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
I personally preferred the 23 over the 15 that I had last year and the 20 seemed over oaked to me strangely enough. But I guess I’m in no position to complain though. I was really bitter last year because I was half way around the world during the release and got nothing for the 300k points I earned that year.

i got the WLW. Buddy got the GTS and was disappointed since he had 50K points.

Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
Just picked up my bottle and looked thru the list of people chosen. There was only one bottle of 23 year and one bottle of the 20 year on the list, I was one of two people that got a 15 year. And this is from one of the better performing stores in SoCal.

My accounts weren't linked so I asked Concierge to ensure that they fixed it. However, you have to go through Concierge since regular TW service was clueless

Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
Just got an offer for another drawing this year. It's not Pappy or BTAC though...Does anybody have any input on these? I ranked them as below:
Old Forester Birthday Bourbon $150
EH Taylor Amaranth $90
Angel's Envy Cask Strength $230
Angel's Envy Celler Collection $300
Haven't been spending much money at TW this year so not holding my breath that I'll get picked.

5x bonus point offer right now here in Las Vegas - unsure if that's a promotion being seen elsewhere. if so, a great opportunity to boost your points in advance of next winter's drawing.

I got a bottle of Parker's Heritage Rye (13th edition) that I picked up yesterday. Thought it was a little odd they'd put a 2019 release in the 2020 lottery as I believe the Parker's 14th edition was just released. Not complaining, just an observation.
Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
What do people think: are we getting the exact same Pappy/BTAC lottery from TW this year?
I believe I was told last year that I would get my points total doubled for the purposes of lottery tickets this year (on account of not getting anything last year), so I assume they were planning to run it unchanged. Double my points (to ~50k) probably still puts me in the category of outside chance of scoring a bottle.

had to rank 1-15, and they include a Blanton's and three of the more common Wellers... seemed a little strange

Re: Total Wine Pappy Offer
Yes that was weird. I imagine it’s their way of making sure everyone “wins” something. I’m going to be seriously annoyed if my reward for spending thousands of dollars is a bottle of Blanton’s or Weller at standard retail.
