Colonel EH Taylor Small Batch for $35.99 is a great price.

1792 Full Proof has seen increased demand due to acclaim from a certain critic/influencer.

Was not as impressed with the Blanton’s gold as I thought I would be. Had to add an ice cube to tone down some of the heat and keep from singing the nose hairs.

On the flip side, was surprised at how well the Michters American showed.

Might just needs some air-looks like it was a new bottle?

Anyone up for giving some PA (www.finewineandgoodspirits.com) recommendations? Right now I'm looking at:
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof (I think this is the C919 lot)
Old Forester 1920
Midwinter Nights Dram

Anything else that looks good on the site in the sub $100 range?

Thanks in advance.
Recently picked up MWND. Great pour.

Had the last two pours of 2019 Old Forester Birthday. While solid, the 2018 OFBB was much more to my liking.

Then tried to get an Elmer T Lee. Was informed that they only had the ETL 100th bottle, and it was $30 for a pour. Of course I had to give it a whirl, and glad I did. While I wouldn’t drop the coin to scoop one up on the secondary market (cuz I’m Asian frugal), the ETL100 was noticeably better to my palate than the OFBB.

Can anyone tell me the difference in Weller Antique between the red and gold tops? Is it just cosmetic?

Thanks
Did some research and found that they changed the packaging from a screw on lid to a cork. The gold tip is the corked top.

I recently picked up a bottle of Wellers 12 year old Bourbon. For Bourbon connoisseurs, you know how hard it is to land Wellers 12 year old. Maybe harder than finding Pappy Van Winkle.
Where? Maybe we should start a thread to help fellow bourbon brothers find bourbon?
My wife got it from a co-worker, who bought it from a liquor store in North Georgia. He's not saying where! Total Wine carries it, the problem is the second it arrives their supply is out the door. You can try calling them, but I doubt they'll reserve it.

I'm not sure I understand the demand for Uncle Nearest - isn't it Dickel juice? (nothing against Dickel, but you can get the Dickel barrel select for half the price, right?)

Going to be in Dallas & Austin over the next few weeks - anyone know how availability of blantons/stagg/weller is over there? (AKA things I can't get in Cali for less than 3x markup)

Wine searcher shows some weller 12 at some total wines in the area, no idea how accurate that is, though.

FWIW, I went to a few Total Wines- manager said most are done by lottery or you have to show up at like 8am when they get their shipments (last wed/thurs of the month)
