Franchise States

We’ve been growing quite nicely these past 18 months and we’re now talking to wholesalers in franchise states, which always gets me nervous. I am wondering if anyone has had any experiences (good/bad) with distributors in these types of states? Feel free to email me if you prefer, but I would love to get some sort of feedback from fellow wine pimps.

Just make sure to get a “Release Letter” up front if things go south.

T-Bone is right - make sure you have a good agreement with your supplier (able to show modest growth, pay on time etc) and make sure that if they don’t meet your demands that you get a “release” letter -

Make sure you have an option to opt out if they sell the business.
