Burghound Issue #54

Anyone have the chance to check it out yet?
The ratings seem luke warm for 2012 Cote de Beaune. I’ll hopefully read more thoroughly in the day or so and make more interesting comments.

So only 20 - 25% price increases? Got to make up for lower yields and the strong Euro. [stirthepothal.gif]

This thread exists already:

Well in all fairness, the currency fluctuation is not on the estate.

Haven’t seen as much activity lately here in the States on pricing lately but based on my experience in the em primeur market in London, even at higher prices wines sold out quickly…even with Meadows and other critics luke warm reception.

Currency arbitrage by importers isn’t uncommon is it? In the end, consumers know (or should) who’ll be asked to pay…at least some portion. If demand is still high, at higher than normal prices for a “luke warm” vintage, then…more power to the supply side!

Richard I agree.
