For those of you who buy from JJ Buckley, you know they operate through a Wine Specialist system. I was wondering if anyone has a Specialist they are particularly happy with? Mine only responds promptly when purchasing wine. Inquiring about in stock items, shipping, and price matching is routinely ignored. I’m about done with them, but was pondering another Specialist. Thanks in advance.

I fired John Sweeney some years ago after he walked out of the office for some kind of tasting while I was there picking up several cases of wine, having arranged the pickup time days in advance. There were a number of missing bottles from my order(s) and ended up there for an hour+. I went ballistic. There were other issues with him before that. Not recommended.
Jeff Loo took care of that mess and has provided good service ever since, but I haven’t asked much of him.

I recently was moved to Alex Shaw. He responded INSTANTLY to an email and arranged some shipping in a heartbeat.
