Did not buy from winery but got it from retailer for $39.95. It is a wine that has 2 sides. The nose on the wine is absolutely terrific, lots of stuffing in there, very much of a Cabernet nose. Then you take a sip and you wonder why this is not as big as the nose. It is a decent showing, but not what I expected from that wonderful nose. 90 points though the nose gets a 94 from me.
Good call, Otto - I have a similar review of the wine. The nose is indeed quite promising, but the palate falls flat. I"m guessing some time will cure that!
When I tasted this wine a few weeks ago, I noticed some green elements in it that did not appeal to me. Not the best Neal I have had, and I suspect some overcropping here.
