2005 Lagier Meredith Syrah - USA, California, Napa Valley, Mt. Veeder (11/26/2013)
Very well made Syrah. There’s lots of dark fruit, as well as herbs, earth and a bit of a briny/salty element. Good balance and a long, fruity finish. No hurry to drink this up, but it is in a nice place now.

Thanks for the note - i still have a few '05’s remaining. One of my favorite syrahs. My '11’s just went in the cellar this morning.

Thanks David. I have one left and was thinking about digging it out. I loved it young and thought there would be a lot of potential. Sounds like it doing fine but maybe not at the height I thought I would reach.

I happened to open one of these on Saturday evening. I agree that it’s really nice now but it’s got plenty of upside left - no hurry to open one.
