Boat-load of wine delivered today

#1 Post by M. Dildine » November 5th, 2013, 3:07 pm

I'm not like the rest of you knuckleheads - to me delivery day is just tearing up boxes and stashing bottles someplace.

But some stuff I love came in ... Turley, Ceritas, Arnot-Roberts, Villa Creek. One that I didn't expect that I'm extremely excited about is Pisoni/Lucia.

Boxes ripped and bottles stored. Tonight I'll be drinking Lucia '11 Gary's SLH Syrah! [cheers.gif]
Cheers,

Mike

Mixed case of 2012 Patricia Green Cellars just arrived, and in the next week or so I'm expecting Copain, Rhys, Carlisle, and Liquid Farm shipments. I like shipping season.

I like the Pissoni Lucia I have tried. I'm still on his other wait list though.

Today I received a case of Maison Bleue and a half case of Reynvaan.

Lagier Meredith has landed. Shipping notices from Wind Gap, Arnot-Roberts & Cowan indicate that stuff is on its way. Then Kutch, Fass Selections, Chambers Street, Crush, Rhys, Anthill Farms, Selection Massale, Edmunds St. John and others follow suit. It's gonna be a crazy fall!

No Burgs? [wow.gif] [shock.gif] Fair is fair. I have some California wines coming this fall like some Kalin and an old Chapellet Cabernet. The least you could do is buy a couple of Burgs. [rofl.gif]

You guys are nuts. Folks at my office think I'm an alcoholic because I get 5 or 6 3-bottle shipments in November.

I did get the Turley a day prior to them sending the shipping notice.

Already received: Turley, Williams-Selyem, Last Bottle, Rochioli

Yet to receive: Kutch, Sea Smoke

+1. The receptionist in my office now knows to just move my wine to the server room until I can get it home ...

Last weekend was Arnot-Robert, Copain. Last Bottle yesterday, tomorrow Turley, Saturday Bedrock, Monday Carlisle, next weekend RYME, Wilde Farm, Wind Gap, Agharta. After that the only thing left is futures from BPWines, Holdredge and Scherrer.

Then the reload Tuesday with the Bedrock Winter release.

Then the reload Tuesday with the Bedrock Winter release.
Brian - a lot of great Sonoma County wine on that list (local for you). Love that. About the closest I come to "local" is Pisoni, Gary's and Rosellas's from Pisoni, Siduri and Lucia. Coastview and Brosseau Vineyards aren't too far away.

Windy Oaks, Rhys, Big Basin and Ridge are a bit up the road.

Oh ... but there is that newcomer - Copain "Laureles Grade" Chardonnay!!!
Cheers,

Mike
