Anybody have familiarity with Ghisolfi Barolo Bricco Visette? It’s a 16 but only see a Suckling review...
Minus six and that is what you would give it! [cheers.gif]

havent had the 2016, but actually grabbed these another time that they popped up and I was happy. 95-96 rating is a bit aggressive, but I thought they were great QPR... Good to drink young or with some age as well.

that Brunello was solid QPR a few years back when they listed it by itself. It was $33 in Feb of 2019. It's been almost 2 years since I had it, but it still had plenty of life left. I have 2 more, and wont open for a few more years, but the other 2 dont really intrigue me.

How long will WTSO hold your wine? Curious, as I realized I accidentally set a ship date for an order to March of 2022 (instead of 2021)!

I believe they say they will hold it for 12 months. But if you want to change your ship date, just email them.

Am sampling that Brunello Pavone right now and its quite good. The repurchase price is $42.99 and I grabbed three more.
Cheers!

Weekly tasting has a solid looking deal - couple of Pascal Aufranc Julienas wines. With BOGO 50% off, comes to $12.50 per bottle on 8 bottles, not bad daily drinker price for cru beaujolais with some solid reviews

Nope, if you add any 2 sets (can be same or different ones) to your cart then go to checkout the discount should be applied there

NEWWINETIME should still work, and PPRG21 is a new one for $5 off $25. Btw I googled for WTSO codes a while back and this site CouponBirds seems to be good at posting them, so I just check it periodically

Just not feeling their offerings lately. Not like the old days. Too many deletes for me. I will say though they have the best customer service in the history of the wine world.

I dig WTSO, have purchased a LOT of wine over the years, but I do agree, offers haven't been compelling lately. Plus: the De Negoce affect...

Agree with the last few posts. In the past, they had really great bargains, especially from Spain. I've placed well over 100 orders with them over the years. But down to a few orders per year anymore. Their customer service is still great though!

I am on a different path with them. I find the latest offers of Barolo, Brunello and Barbaresco pretty good for drinking, and that's what we do, no?
Since this pandemic started, it has really been the ONLY retail I have been doing. I have purchased 126 bottles since April 1, 2020. None were Napa Cabs.
The unique selling system of one-off bottles in their Last/Premium section makes it easy to try something and when I find it good go back for 2-5 more, depending on just how good.
Also, some of the purchases are minimum of 2, so if you purchase, you can repurchase easily through their My Cellar feature.
Roughly 84 Nebbiolo (Barolo & Barbaresco only), 39 Sangiovese (Brunello only) and 3 bottle of Tempranillo.
Free shipping means something. BTW, before this buying pattern I was doing somewhat similar with Wine Library to a point, but they lost the business as I will not pay full fare for the Library Pass. I offered them the $30 they had done it for in the past and never heard back. I had about 47 assorted Nebbiolo, 10 Pinot Noir and 7 Tempranillo in 2019 and early 2020. 0.0 since May 2020 [wow.gif]

That means a ton. Before I ever buy out of state I check that first.

2016 Basel Cellars Cab Sauv Columbia Valley for $15 seems like a buy?

Haven’t had their wines in a few years (Trey Busch era) but they used to be pretty good.

Agree. I am sure they probably pay over 50% if we shipped the same package so they build it into the cost of the wine. I do wonder they margin on a $9.99 bottle. Must not be much.
