Jean Biecher et Fils Alsace Grand Cru Sommerberg Riesling 2016... $17.99 for an Alsace GC, 94pts WE (with my $2 bottle credits)? Have gotten away from WTSO, but had to pull the trigger on this one.

I got that for $20 a bottle, and that included 2 WTSO stamped Riedel glasses. The wine was... ok. Rather low-end Oregon pinot noir. But the glasses sealed the deal, and no regrets on that purchase.

$16.99 a bottle after the $2 off a bottle. I don't know how long this promotional deal is going but has worked on the last 3 orders. Free shipping excellent value!

Well I did order a ton from them years ago so no it makes sense. Boedecker is a solid producer and was going to order anyway but with the negative 40 degree weather put down end of March for delivery. Great feature of WTSO.

Bought 4 of the Seven Hills Winery 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Seven Hills Vineyard Walla Walla Valley.

Liked the old vine story, the CT reviews were good and the scores were consistently good.

I've always been happy with Seven Hills wine. It is a more restrained style and not spoiled by too much oak.

I ordered and received (but haven't tasted yet) the Laura Michael cabernet. That was an easy order for me. We visited the winery many years ago when visiting Napa, it was small and boutique, and very good quality. Her zin popped up recently as well, I bought and tried that and thought it was a great value. I guess the important point here is that it's not one of these phony "Made for WTSO" labels. They do fetch the retail price out in Napa at the tasting room.

Just want to call out some outstanding customer service from WTSO.

I've had two shipments with "FEDEX issues" in recent weeks --one involving a delivery being made to the wrong business, and another involving an order's delivery window being missed resulting in extra days on a truck in harsh conditions.

On both occasions, WTSO sent new bottles without being prompted and took up the issue with Fedex themselves. These guys really do take care of their customers. It's appreciated.

That's really great. I had the same issue with FedEx Ground and Winebid last week. The response was "you approved it". I told them that FedEx Ground is crap and they need to find another carrier. Now I'll just reduce the amount I bid knowing that I have to pay more for shipping. Sorry for the thread drift.

Want to echo this statement as well. I got great customer service from WTSO when I received two bottles with the cork popping out. Shipped at too cold of temperatures but regardless, they were super responsive and generous.

Here's a tip. If you already purchased anything still in stock (Loring) from WTSO you will sooner or later be offered to buy more from a secret link emailed to you. It's a really cool feature WTSO now offers. I have 8 more Cargassachi coming to me for $29 per. (BTW, It's SPECTACULAR)

On a similar note, most wines that WTSO offers on a semi-regular basis are not actually out of stock when they move on to the next wine. They just move on to the next wine. It's very likely that they have a stock of that wine and it just rotates around in the cycle of wines they offer. But it's still in their warehouse waiting to be sold. So you can call them up and ask for it, and if they have it, they'll sell it to you at the price they normally sell it for.

I do this frequently with the Philip Prie champagne that I love. When I need some, I call them up and order it.

I opened a 2012 Boedecker "Stewart" last week. It is a better than average WV Pinot, a little to heavy on the oak to let the fruit shine. I prefer the "Athena" year in and year out, but $18.99 is an excellent price for a wine that lists at $42, and I don't see discounted much.

I thought about it because the notes on CT were really good for the price, but seeing oak mentioned in several notes was a bit worrying.

Opera Super Tuscan Toscano Rosso IGT 2015 $12.99 and 98 points from Luca Maroni. That has to be 5 points higher than Suckling. Even if it is 90 points good deal with free shipping. Who was the old guy they used to have that would give out those inflated scores?
