My QPR of the year ( I know it's only February....)

2004 Arcadian Gold Coast Pinot Noir.

Courtesy of Joe Davis’ Grand Cru Holiday offer, this was only $16/bottle. Without a doubt the best under $30 pinot I’ve had. Ready to go. Very light red fruit profile. Expressive nose of raspberry/spice. Very little oak and soft tannins. Decent finish. What more do you want ??

Just got mine last weekend.

I hope you also picked up some '05 SLH pinot and Santa Ynez syrah as they are also crazy stupid QPR at $16.

Hello. My first posting. I’m a little nervous.

I’ll nominate 06 Rhys Alesia “San Mateo County.” Light ruby color, incredible cherry aromas, complex and focused pinot typicity. I think it was about $25. A wonderful wine, I wish I had more.

Be gentle with me.

If we were gentle would you really want to be here? [diablo.gif]

Another familiar face.

Jaffur’s 07 SB Syrah is really good too. More of a ripe fruit forward Syrah but immensely delicious at $20.

Thanks for the heads up Jan!

This is a yearly QPR for me. The GoldCoast is a very nice “village” level Pinot.

I have a few

1-2005 Alain Graillot Crozes Hermitage

2-2005 Northstar Winery Stella Maris

3-2006 Dunham Syrah
