I’m just looking forward to it…if the '06 is that good I can only imagine the '07. Coopersmith has been my favorite ME for a while now.

i think merry edwards did a great job with a difficult vintage. enjoyed this wine so much, i bought a bottle to take to dinner that evening.

  • 2006 Merry Edwards Pinot Noir Coopersmith - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (8/31/2008)
Tasted at the winery. Rich yet balanced notes of raspberries, boysenberries, black cherries, and damp soil. Nice palate weight and a long complete finish. Very impressive at this stage. 92-93 points. (92 pts.)

i don’t drink nearly enough of her wines.

Paul, with 92 points from you, it must be quite good, indeed…

I’ve yet to have tried any Merry Edwards, unfortunately.

Bodega Bay…the land of plenty!!!

what can i say, i’m a sucker for women winemakers. [give_heart.gif]

UCD37 clone is one ME took herself from Mt. Eden’s vineyard in the 70s. So it is a variation on the Mt. Eden clone, fyi.
