TN: 2010 Huët Vouvray Demi-Sec Clos du Bourg

  • 2010 Huët Vouvray Demi-Sec Clos du Bourg - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray (10/18/2012)
Popped and poured, followed over a few hours. Nose was tight to start but opened over time to show ripe apple and lime zest. Medium bodied with high acidity. Not showing as much residual sugar as I expected. Wound rather tightly and mostly showing tart green apple, with some asian pear and lime. Enjoyable drink, I love the acidity, but my other bottles are in for a long sleep. (91 pts.)

Thanks Zachary

I have a case of these and it seems best to let them all sleep for now.

intrigued so I bought a b of this and the sec today.

Alan, for my tastes, and probably most burg fans, the sec is probably the better choice. Demi really needs many years to develop what it will be anyway. My advice is to give it some air, and drink it at essentially cool room temp, not too cold.
