TN: 2003 Pierre Usseglio Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul
Drink up not sure how long this will last.
What a fantastic wine. Was in the mood to try this last night along with a prime bone in rib eye. Nice thing about Chateauneuf du Pape its not often I feel “too young to drink” as when they are good always seem to be ready to enjoy. (Unlike many other wines I own that I have to wait on…Barolo, Burgundy, and Bordeaux)
Sexy wine. Rich yet elegant, full feel on the palate but not at all overdone or “too big” Terrific. Great finish though at 1st a touch drying. After a few hours in the decanter that all fleshed out. 96-98 pts for me
