Yet 3 more of 2014 Chateau Sociando Mallet but at a 20% of clearance for $28.97 per. Wish they had more, I would have taken them all. Just a stupid value for a killer vintage of Sociando.

More wine I do not need and for which I have ZERO space. Just a few bottles -- 3 x 1999 D'Armailhac @ $49 -- Marc F, there's one bottle left; PM if you're interested -- but this is really ridiculous. Despite what I said above, I bought the wines because they looked like a good deal and because I suspect I'll like them. But I DO NOT NEED OR HAVE ROOM FOR THEM. There is NO ROOM AT THE INN. I have CASES of wine right now for which I have no space, and yet I am still ordering more. It is compulsive behavior emblematic of a personality disorder.

I am done for the year at least. Not a single bottle more. If I can make it until New Year's Day, then maybe I can make it until Valentine's Day.

Ha, ditto. As I suspect most of us here fail into this camp. I have 6 cases sitting in my law offices, in boxes, and 8 on the way. Zero room in offsite storage. My little home and office fridges both full.

I suspect you will like this D'Arms - MarcF and I do very much - but there is some brett variability in some bottles. I recommend you pop one when the 3 arrive.

I'm actually making progress. Since the beginning of October I have bought only 3 bottles (750s) of recent-vintage reds (2016 Hudelot-Noellat burg rouge) and I bought nothing at all for about 6 weeks. But with the boxes of wine I can't store and may not live long enough to drink rolling in, one after another, the idea that I'd buy even more was just really disappointing.

Nothing til Valentines day. No matter the deal. A fantastic deal on a refrigerator is of no value to me because I have one that works well. Same should be true of wine. Thanks, but I don't need any at present.

Edit: LOL, you know I bought 15s, Robert; you're just trying to embarrass me! That's where I drew the line. I bought maybe 3-4 cases of 2015s. I bought no 16s, no 17s, and will buy no 18s. Done forever with that game.

I'm just here to help, Neal. We need to reach out to Glasser as well, he's still out there buying futures! A drinking intervention may be necessary. Three old guys drinking old Bordeaux, lamenting about the modernization of our favorite wine region, and the hype of the IG crowd hipsters (although we all know Glasser secretly likes some Rolland wines . . . .).

Hmm... The seller didn't say. I'll try to find out. For $45/per I'm not sure I care.

Attended Rebule de Rhone (?spelling?) a few weeks ago, that that Balthazar CC was my favorite wine there. Added two magnums alongside my singles. I also liked his Cotes du Rhone (especially at that price point), and his natural wine was also pretty good.. for a natural wine.

The range of 2017 Bouland Beaujolais. Our friendly resident critic, William Kelley, has some great write-ups on them, though I've always been a fan of this producers anyway. He slayed it in 2011.

Compulsive behaviour continues.

A case of '73 Palmer (price was too good to pass up on).

And another old bottle of cognac (2,5 litre bottle of Pierre Chabanneau Extra from the 1920s/30s)...

Really should stop now...

Haha, didn’t you read in that other thread that Bordeaux from the 1970s suck? ;)

Cool looking Cognac bottle!
