Sh*t ain’t cheap anymore, $225 per.

Chambers Street Wines has 3 left.

Plus some 1970 Chateau Talbot in 375.

I had sworn off buying any more wine for a while. But I have a firm rule that when 2001 Muller-Catoir is offered, I buy it. And I'm a rule-follower. So:

5x 2001 Müller-Catoir Mußbacher Eselshaut Riesling Eiswein (375s)

(If anyone is hunting for German Riesling with some age, Benchmark's email from this afternoon has a pretty impressive selection, albeit small quantities of each wine.)

Picked up a couple mags of 2016 Margaux today. Purchased one then went back in for a second a few hours later. Wasn’t planning on that today, but I’m always sucked into the ‘16s.

Got a Kutch McDougall Farm Pinot Noir 2017 from a local bottle store and some assorted Goodfellow Family bottles from a Danish supplier. Have a bit of a blind spot with US wines and am keen to try some of the things I’ve been reading about on this board.

technically since you and Jonathan are a rare couple who both passionately collect, you should get to halve your monthly purchases when reporting . . .

Though I've had some ITB people tell me that they don't believe the claims of age for the vines. That they're old but not that old.

Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?

#15989 Post by HenryB »

Inspired by this forum, I participated in my first ever wine auction today.

9 Magnums of 2006 Taittinger CdeC rose, 1 magnum of 2015 Sanctus Sanctorum, all at very very keen prices.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Also picked up a haul of 18 bottles of Brainaire Ducru 2019, didnt realise what a bargain it was EP.

Nice! Wasn’t a whole lot of great pricing in that Rhone section, but those stood out

Yeah, of all, 2011 Chaillot I'd say was a pretty good deal!
