Mine are quite well buried, but I would appreciate your opinion if you do try one.Rich K0rz€nk0 wrote: ↑January 9th, 2021, 4:55 pmThey excelled with this vintage, and I am a long time fan of the Producer. Recently missed out on some aged bottles, told myself I'd go and grab some of the more recent.
I have high hopes as well. I'll probably pop one in the a month or so, and the rest will lay down .

Mixed case 2005 Prieure Roch - Clos de Beze, Clos de Vougeot, Nuit Clos des Corvees, Vosne Romanee Clos Goillotte - and some assorted Rousseau and Leroy. Dry January extends to drinking not acquisitions alas.

6 x Keller 2017 auction Pettenthal GG. Just a smidge above the auction clearing price, but not gonna complain.

Indeed. Just drank a bottle of that very wine from my cellar a couple of months ago and it was very tasty.jason stein wrote: ↑January 10th, 2021, 7:26 pmGuilty as charged! Dujac’s 08s are great.

Three bottles of 2011 Joh. Jos. Prum Graacher Himmelreich Spatlese with damaged labels found in a bin on the floor of a local shop. Fills look great and price was right so took a flyer. I figure if anything is hardy enough to withstand potentially suboptimal storage conditions, it's Prum.

2016 Neal family Howell mountain CS; I’ve always really liked this producer which is one of the few values remaining in Napa. I think the $75 I paid was the same price I paid 10 years ago.

And by the way, Pomerol turned out some very strong 2011s, a vintage not generally heralded much. The VCC is excellent.
Thanks, Neal!

Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
I had it last week and loved it. I might slightly prefer the 18 Burlotto Langhe Nebbiolo which has a little more complexity, but the Vietti is way easier to find for a little less $$. Ahead of the Sottimano, Vajra, Scavino, and Azelia LNs I've tried recently. A wine I could drink every day (and not go broke!)HMechbal wrote: ↑January 15th, 2021, 1:42 pm 3x St Joseph Cuvee du Papy Montez 2018
