Pounced on a couple of mags of the 2013 Pierre Peters Chetillons at K&L champagne.gif
[cheers.gif]
Damn, Yao, I missed out on the mags. I had to console myself with 4 750's. I almost opened an '08 last night but regained control of my senses.

Cheers,

A small pick up order from chambers st. I went to order the cots, wanted another prosecco, decided to try the same producer's spumante, and saw that the tb brin chevre was in stock. The 2018 but that never lasts long.

Grange Tiphaine 18 Clef Rouge
Grange Tiphaine 18 Cot VV
Il Fortunato 18 Prosecco
Il Fortunato 17 Rosato Spuman
Tue-Boeuf 18 Brin de Chèvre
I was considering trying the Grange Tiphaine Cot. We are head over heals about their Chenin Blanc, and so are our neighbors. Does the Cot more resemble Cabors or South America?

P.S. This is a good example of why wine cellar reduction is futile for folks on this forum. Too many tips and comments on new wines to try. [cheers.gif]

I indulged in some post-trial catharsis on Wine Bid this week although I was outbid on 1988 La Tour Haut Brion:

1988 Chateau Pape-Clement (rouge)
2 x 2014 Follin-Arbelet Aloxe Corton Clos du Chapitre
2004 Reinhold Haart Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling Auslese #11

I think so. Very nice wine in any vintage, and both William and Galloni raved about this vintage. They are "on sale" (~65/bottle) at wineaccess, and I used a $50 credit I had and the Amex rebate that brought the price way down.

(BTW, I've told this story before, but the credit was given to me by management, without any demand/request from me, after a SNAFU on shipping a couple of bottles under circumstances that were at least partially my own fault. VERY good and proactive customer service. I wish they had a broader selection; I'd do a lot more business there)

Glantenay particularly the 2010s in quantity.
Have you tried Glantenay's rosé? Made because he had too much juice in 2017, as I understand. I think it's excellent stuff.
Which Glantenay? There are two!
Bernard and Thierry.

Have not been offered the Rose.

I went big (wines) this weekend: 2015 Andremily Syrah and 2013 Lail J Daniel. I've never had an Andremily before, but I got a decent price on some bottles, so I thought I would try it.

Good wines from Grange Tiphaine. I bought a couple each of the Cot and Clef Sol Blanc from Flatiron a couple months ago. I’m looking forward to them on return to NYC at some point. The Montlouis sparkling is good too.

I haven't had the 2012, but I had the 2013 last year. It was a wine that made me say "whoa," so even though my budget doesn't support the purchase, I bought a couple of bottles anyway. I had a chance at the 2012 as well, but it was 2X as much.

We had the 2010 Clos des Chenes last night in a Zoom last night. Showed pretty well, although as it got hotter, it became amorphous in the glass. A quick spell in the fridge helped, but it never really got back to its potential at cellar temperature.

2x 1980 Joseph Voillot Pommard 1er Cru Pezerolles. Stronger vintage in Côte de Nuits than Côte de Beaune, but this has such good provenance I reckon it will still be pretty tasty.

2x 1972 Michelot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains - great color and fills.
So you didn't get any of the older Bouland wines (assuming it's the same email that I got)? Might also try the Voillot then :-).

A six pack of Bollinger VZ 15

Here Is the write up

Bollinger; the wine's name is ’PN’ and the first edition has the surname ‘VZ 15’. This will form part of a series of releases showcasing a different cru (village) with each cuvée exploring terroir in different ways. PN VZ 15 is a 100% Pinot-focused blend from Grand Cru vineyards in Verzenay based on the 2015 vintage with reserve wines that go back to 2009, including 20% from the reserve magnums Bollinger is so famous for.

Despite the fact I wasn’t going to buy anything for a month, this is just irresistible.

2019 Ridge Falanghina - "from just over an acre of vines planted at the Alder Springs Vineyard in the far northern reaches of Mendocino County, our 2019 Falanghina exhibits the distinct minerality and bright acidity typical of the region. Only 9 barrels produced" - offered to club members this morning.

2018 Kumeu River Estate Chardonnay. Is this Burgundy? 👍🏻
2018 Baudry Les Grezeaux. Is this vintage a bit riper and darker fruited than 2017? I like it. Going back for more. 👍🏻
