2004 La Mission Haut Brion, not a very good vintage but it did not break the bank.

They made some really lovely wines in 2004. LMHB is actually very good.

Yea I keep seeing people comment on 2004 in a negative light. Like many vintages, there are winners, losers and average wines. That LMHB is beautiful, as are many other top flight 2004s, especially VCC, Ducru B, Trotanoy, Conseillante. Et al. I was not as thrilled with a 2004 Montrose but it could use more time. An excellent QPR is Corbin Michotte. I have had all of these over the last year.

A friend was drinking Giacosa Barbera last night and it made me remember how much I like that wine so I bought a case. Also added some Thomas Morey Chassagne-Montrachets and a few varied Albarinos to the order.

I guess I felt like it was a good enough deal to buy? It was the best price available on WS Pro. $775 per 6x75 case. What's a good price on Dom anyway? If I'm paying too much, I want a better deal!

less than $130/bottle. Never seen that price. Wine-Searcher pro or anywhere. Amazing.
I guess it was a good deal then. Are you looking at UK offerings? I buy a lot in bond and then have it shipped here. Saves a ton on taxes and often the UK dealers have way better prices than the US.

After the zoom tasting, I have been buying 2014 VCC. Hard to find great and traditional Right Bank wines. Overbought, but who cares.
