Day 23, still no purchases. Aubert, Maybach, R-M, and several others attacked my left flank, but able to successfully dodge. Envoyer full frontal assault with daily goodies. So hard. Must...hold...the line.

My local house that specializes in Riesling's at some really good prices was having one of their regular sales.

2 x 2017 Schaefer Graacher Himmelreich kabinett ($23)
2 x 2017 S-O Zeltinger Schlossberg kabinlett ($16)
2 x 2017 S-O Zeltinger Schlossberg spatlese ($20)
I also found a couple of 2015 Bouchard Clos de la Mousse that hadn't been tariff indexed. ($50)

Now, I'm thinking I screwed and may need to go back and supersize things.

Well, I lasted all of 23.75 days. Got an offer on 2007 Taittinger Champagne Comtes de Champagne Rosé Brut for $145 a bottle from JJB that I couldn't pass up. It's all about baby steps. Next goal is to extend to a full month. :)

Couldn't wait for BD11:
Briceland Syrah and various Pinot
Halcon Syrah and Mourvedre
Kelley Fox Mirabai Pinot

also, some Pax Hillside Syrah (I'm a fan of both the '16 and '17 so don't mind going for the '18).

The top few from HDH yesterday and today... and yeah, I felt like a champ on the sigauts. I had a few bottlings of 07s from them, but haven't seen them around locally since then. I'm very much looking forward to having enough to both sample soon and hide away.

With all of the mailing lists, January is an expensive month. I told myself I wouldn't buy anything else unless it was the 2008 Taittinger CdC. I had been a good boy until this week. I picked up the 2016 Beaucastel (which is getting hard to find), 2016 Vine Hill Ranch and 2016 Tertre Roteboeuf at a good price (under $150).
