Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
Nice, would’ve loaded up at that price
Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
As I recall you have already loaded quite a bit!
Anyway those were the only two on the shelf. To the back of the storage unit they went.
Michael, how many times have you had this wine and what are you thinking regarding optimal time in bottle before opening?
I appreciate your assessment

This is a good haul, and I love Woodland Hills and Schaefer and Fritz Haag. But all Schaefer Auslesen have gold capsules; they don’t make special gold cap Auslesen, e.g., the way Prum does.J. Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
Yeah, they just differentiate with AP numbers. I just copied and pasted from WHWC instead of typing it all out. Technically, though, they are right.... Regardless, for 30% off of the lowest price in the country, they can call them whatever they wantJayson Cohen wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2019, 5:10 pmThis is a good haul, and I love Woodland Hills and Schaefer and Fritz Haag. Yeah I got a few more from FWGS (of the kravitz) but I’ve put a few away.
Have opened 4 bottles and it’s drinking amazingly now. I think it’ll improve but it’s fantastic now.

Re: What is YOUR most recent wine purchase?
Nice, don't see them mentioned often, but it's an estate to my liking. Samll estate, very down to earth people, big swing in quality the last few years, focus on vineyard work (done by the owner). I buy a couple of bottles each year, among which the LSJ. Also got an offer for 18 that I will take - should be good in LSJ, a colder terroir in a warmer vintage.
