I just picked up a couple of Hartford Zinfandel 2017 Hartford Vineyard Old Vine bottles today @ $60 ea.. I really like several wines from Hartford Family Vineyards over the years and I have some high hopes for these as my wife is very fond of Zinfandels.

I also completed my usual purchase of 3 MacDonald Cabernets, a usual must buy for me! Got some great drinking in my future!

If it is solid will have to get more. For under $30 I have always found their wines to be of tremendous value.

Um, you sure that isn't Echo? It would be cheap for the 2d wine, and a good price for the half bottles (2 years ago)!

Well done, sir. That is one SPECTACULAR deal. I suspect it is well below cost for a retailer.

Various lots from Mark Golodetz's cellar, including Drouhin across multiple vintages, including Clos des Mouches
89, 90, 91 and 93, and Hudelot Noellot Mergers from 99 and 05. And 97 Fonseca Port, because I'm certain it's awesome, even though I won't open any for many years.

Three of each for a mixed case and free shipping from Gary's. First three are board reco's; the Muscadet is a reliable favorite and case filler.
-Baudry Chinon Les Granges 2018
-Clos de la Roilette - Fleurie 2018
-Olivier Leflaive - Bourgogne Les Setilles 2017
-Domaine de la Pepiere - Muscadet 2018
An aged man is but a paltry thing,
A tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing

Sigh, I was so close to the end of the month and then I had to be tempted by an unsold lot in the Heritage Auction.

1x375 1972 Alexis Lichine/P.Engel
1x750 1972 Grivot Clos Vougeot
6x375 1972 Alexis Lichine/Mongeard Mugneret
Ripe fruit isn't necessarily a flaw.

A low bid that I had completely forgotten about came through at auction. £110 hammer on 4 bottles of LMHB 1971 (OK, one of the bottles is lower-mid shoulder, but the others are upper/top). Scrappy capsules but who cares... [cheers.gif]
