4x Chateau Lanessan. $16 ea. with Total Wine discount.
When do they usually send out their coupons? I have never received any in over a year. Strange.
If you download their app the coupons button is on the main page about half way through the first screen. Without fail there is somewhere between 10%-20% off.

I do have it linked to my loyalty points account so maybe that has something to do with it.

I am sure you've talked to your accountant but I am not sure why you wouldn't be able to write it off if you are buying them to write about them, just as a travel writer claims expenses on the cost of his professional travel. But then I know nothing about tax law

Without going into too much detail, it makes more sense for us to take the standard deduction! Most of my work expenses are reimbursed by my employer. But if I ever try to claim for 1945 de Vogüé Musigny I will have to submit that on April 1st [rofl.gif]

They never leave Burgundy and I drink them in Beaune! That increases the success rate considerably. Those bottles of de Vogüé will stay in the original cellar until I'm next in France to pick them up personally. They will be handled very gently!

I had a little bit of the 1945 Musigny in the early 80s at a preview tasting for a Hueblein auction. It was very special.

my story is a pristine bottle of 45 Vogue Musigny. I could at the time only afford one of the two offered me—about $500 in early 2000s. Drank it w a good friend over duck livers and roasted ducks. Headspinning. Went back for the other bottle. Sold.

Rarely post on this thread, but just bid on some wines at a Hart David Hart auction. The wines are not here yet, and better not be before fall.

I got two bottles of 1990 Barolo for just under $100 each, don't remember whose, but they are reputable mid-level producers.

Got 10 bottles of 1975 Lanessan for ~$30 each all in. Really looking forward to those. My last bottle of 1970, a few years ago, was stellar. These should be wonderful. Or not.

my story is a pristine bottle of 45 Vogue Musigny. I could at the time only afford one of the two offered me—about $500 in early 2000s. Drank it w a good friend over duck livers and roasted ducks. Headspinning. Went back for the other bottle. Sold.
Ouch. That hurts. Hope mine elicit as much head spinning!

It's the new name (since 2017) for his Madame Germaine cuvée, I believe.

There is a Cuvée 1 and Cuvée 2 in 2018 for the Beaujolais, at least that was what I was invoiced for.

Just a few bottles of various varietals:

- 2015 Lapostolle Clos Apalta
- 2016 Booker My Favorite Neighbor
-1998 Bodegas Riojanas Monte Real Rioja Gran Reserva Seleccion Limitada (I'm especially excited for this as it will be both my first red Rioja and oldest wine that I've drank)
- 2017 Donnhoff Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spatlese
- 2016 Schloss Lieser Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett
- 2015 Schloss Lieser Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Spatlese x2

In addition to some Bedrock allocations, grabs some of this as well:

2016 Chateau La Gravette de Certan, Pomerol
