I love 1988 Chave, especially the bottles with the $25 price tag! Also have a 2000 Raveneau MdT that I might drink next year.

Not a thread in which I can participate much any more, but I bought a few bottles of the 2012 Bollinger Champagne La Grande Année Rosé and a bunch of 2008 R. López de Heredia Rioja Reserva Tondonia halves.

I really enjoyed the 750 of 2008 Tondonia I opened last night. My sampling bottle. Halves are a good idea; I might get some too.

375s are pretty much the only recent-vintage reds we buy these days. LOVE them.

The tondonia is an excellent wine and on top of that the price is very good. Excellent qpr. These wines have structure to last extremely long time.

Never had one but it sounds super cool. The domaine's total holdings is only 0.60 hectares, and the Cornas is only 125 cases annually (worldwide). Apparently the vines are from the '40s/50s and adjacent to Clape. And only $45/btl! Worth a flyer for sure.

2018 Willi Haag Veldenz Riesling Grauschiefer Alto Reben Feinherb, Mosel.

SC, $27 Cda, 11.5% alc. Pale medium color with some hints of petulance. . Nose was OK but not striking..lime, mineral, no petrol, green fruits I`d say. Initial entry thought is some sweetness, low acidity, not great length at all. Thought this would be a lot drier?? Good but not great..food was chicken cordon blue.
