A small order from Goodfellows. I'm definitely not one of those people who would say on the thread they couldn't make up their mind what to buy and so just bought three cases. Sure, I wanted more, but I had to choose.

Opted for Haut Brion.

Three 1982 vintage Bordeaux to celebrate our 40th next year. A Calon Segur, Figeac, & Cos' e'Estournel. All great fill levels and only one nicked capsule. I did just order a mixed case of wines from Corazon del Sol. They are one of our favorite producers in Mendoza. Their Gran Reserva Malbec is the best I have ever had.

Sniping between 9:55 and 9:57 ET at Winebid so as not to trigger OT is turning out OK. This week:

2013 Pascal Cotat Montes Damnes

1990 von Schubert Maximin Grunhaus Herrenberg Auslese 92

I was especially excited to see the ‘90 Herrenberg 92 for sale for the first time in many years. This was the first single cask MG Auslese I ever bought (in 1999?), and it was phenomenal. I had one left, so now there are two.

They also make a Meursault Santenots (blanc) that is pretty fabulous. Partially fermented in tank. Really delicious.

Defaix is just incredible value, I backed up the truck on all his 2005s after tasting through them, considering grabbing the 2006s. Which bottlings did you get?

Vaillons, les Lys. Not sure why these are still in marketplace. Stunning values. I wish I could buy cases.
Both great, the Côte de Léchet is also worth seeking out, my favourite of the 3 PC. Bought the 2005s mostly from Astor, I believe they’re now carrying the 2006s for some or all, not sure if there’s still some 2005s. Rare to see producers wait to release their wines until they are more mature and ready to drink. Not an easy economic decision to take, but one that as a consumer I truly appreciate.

6 x 2017 Domaine du Cayron, Gigondas

An excellent wine, very food friendly, and well priced at 30 bucks.

Well done, Mark.
