4 x 2005 Ch. Bellegrave Pauillac. The 1982 was possibly the first wine I bought in any volume (6b around 1988).

Almost replied when I saw you snagged some '17 Chevillon, too champagne.gif That offer sure went fast!

Love the domaine wines as well (of course!), but have been very impressed with the '18 Charles Lachaux wines I've tried and have high expectations for the '19s!

An OWC of 1996 Ch. Grand Puy Lacoste, at auction. Love GPL, and I’d rank the 96 higher than every vintage outside of 1982 and 1990, and on par with the 2000 and 2005. My fingers are crossed that the 2016 will reach similar heights, but will need to wait at least 10 years to know for certain!

Thanks for the heads up, working on some backfilling. Any recent vintages of this or the Frühlingsplätzchen you think are ready to go?

Not ready to go, no, for the last 5 or 6 vintages. I'd heard the 2016s were in a drinkable place, but when we opened a Halenberg at the end of last year, it was pretty darn tight. Perhaps give '14s a try? I haven't had one in a while. And it might be time to try a 2015 Frühlingsplätzchen, come to think of it. We haven't opened any of our stash, just drank one in a restaurant a few years back and decided waiting was in order.

After drinking it off a wine list, Tornatore Etna Bianco 2018. To buy it, I had to venture into a wine shop I hadn’t shopped in for over 40 years (albeit in a different place in the same general location - Sherry’s Wine & Spirits).

Totally yummy Carricante.

Even more 2019 Riesling. A mix of Prum, Lauer, Muller-Catoir, and Alfred Merkelbach. With some 3Ls for good measure.
