Just checked and also didn't appear for me as an option. Though if you search globally for a wine, it will still note if a particular retailer offers worldwide shipping.

Came across some 2016 Carpineto CCR and VdM Riserva. Thought it would be interesting to compare the two side by side a couple of times. I thought about adding in the Brunello, but I wasn't sure how that would work out. I've done Felsina's CC and CCR together but never two regions by year/producer. Should be enlightening.

I guess if you are planning on buying a lot from Premiers Grand Crus then it is worth it to pay for shipping from France. Premiers Grand Crus has 3 bottles left.

Went to a Total Wine tasting in Mclean VA the other day. Had some very nice young Bordeaux and Cal Cabs to taste. But, I realized it will be 20 years before any of them would be ready to drink to my liking and I'm too old to wait that long. Even though they offered a good discount (for Total Wine), I didn't buy any. I did buy a 2018 Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc. Seems I'm buying mostly whites now and some early maturing or old reds at auction.

I bought a mixed case of champagne today from a London merchant for delivery to where I will be next week. It is a surprise for the birthday girl, who loves champagne. Although I have drunk a ton of champagne with her over the years, I decided to ask her what she is liking these days. To my surprise she said Cristal, vintage Roederer rose, and Laurent Perrier vintage brut. She has never served me any of these at her house! Historically she served lots of krug but more recently CdC (some from my cellar) and Godme (and whatever else greg is selling that sounds good to her).

Anyway, I wanted an assortment of things, some mags and some 750s (there will be 11 of us) so this is what I bought. Feel free to comment!

Roederer rose 2014 x 2
Roederer rose 2012 in magnum
Roederer brut 2009 in magnum
L-P 2008 x 2
L-P 2006 in magnum
Eric Rodez Blanc de Noir NV in magnum.

The salesman suggested i get the 2011 Roederer rose in magnum as he thinks it is showing well, but I took Sarah’s advice and went with the better vintage. Now I am tempted to add one to the delivery. I was also really tempted by the 2005/2006 Charles Heidsieck rose.

Arguably the best of any Beaujolais. The Cuvee Tardive tends to be a very structured wine.

Wasn't sure if online shops that I'm personally not familiar with would keep wine in somewhat "good environment". The hassle of trying to return a corked bottle of premium wine seems impossible.

Birthday present to myself... oops!
Nice affirmation of my 72x 2005 Montrose bundled away underground [2005 being my wedding year]

I suspect some will be enjoyed by children after we are gone.
Anyone served by the wine.com southeast warehouse can get these for around $165 all-in if you’re playing the code/cash back/stewardship game, 5 left.

I wish I had 72. I'd like to have some magnums, too.

some of you guys are really stepping up. My latest was mild by comparison but makes me happy—08 Lassalle Angeline for $55/b.

Some cases from a decent cellar offering.

2009 Beaune 1er Cru Le Clos des Mouches Joseph Drouhin
2010 Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots Alain Hudelot-Noëllat
2017 Musigny Grand Cru Drouhin Laroze
2009 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Joseph Drouhin

Too late for the 09 S. Esmonin CSJ :(
