This board made me buy all of these wines. Each one based on one or more recent threads.

Domaine Lorenzon Mercurey 1er Cru Clos des Champs Martin Cuvée Carline 2017
Guillemot-Michel Viré-Clessé Quintaine 2017
Goodfellow Family Cellars Pinot Noir Ribbon Ridge 2016
2018 Ridge Geyserville [To be fair, I have been buying this for years, but recent threads praising the 2018 made me order some.]
007 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne [Blake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

2 x 2000 La Grange Neuve de Figeac,Saint-Emilion, for $50 each! The second label of Figeac, loved the 2005 vintage. Now called Petit Figeac. Rolland made them change the name in homage to petit four, his Black Forest cake.

Agreed. Have you also tried VCC’s La Gravette de Certan? Really strong stuff. Worth buying for sure.

Shows my age; $50 for a second wine that is not a first growth?!

I like Gravette, but never found the same sensuality there that makes VCC so addictive. OTOH, when I think of alternatives to first label Right Bank wines for around $50, I stop at Corbin. Medoc is very different, there are many inexpensive first wines that are better values.

Robert... I think you'd approve of most of these orders.

3x 1990 Figeac
3x 1995 BAMA
3x 2000 BAMA
3x 2018 Bernabeleva Vina Bonita

The BAMAs were $70 but subject to tariffs. The vendor will hold them in the EU, so I'll hold out to see if things change by next year.

Lightning struck twice. Few months ago I bought a 2013 Bartolo for $130 off RPM Italian. Last night a restaurant in Rehoboth had 1/2 off wine and carry-out only due to rona, so I took one home for $112. Shame they only had one left I would’ve bought 6. Fingers crossed that COVID-22 leads to similar deals on the 2016!!

Given a choice a the same price, I'd probably take the Bara but it isn't the same price any longer. The Goutorbe in most disgorgements seems to have a little bit more body, the Bara a little more lift. But I would (and do!) happily drink either on any occasion

interesting. yesterday it definitely told me there was only one left as I was looking. now its saying 20. has envoyer ever done something sales tactic-y like that? Its not impossible I read it incorrectly yesterday but I'm pretty positive I didn't.

I think I got the very last one yesterday! was pretty excited I didn't miss it.
66 bottles still left
interesting. yesterday it definitely told me there was only one left as I was looking. now its saying 20. has envoyer ever done something sales tactic-y like that? Its not impossible I read it incorrectly yesterday but I'm pretty positive I didn't.
They wait and see how things are selling before going back to their source for more. A lot of that is based on the preorders (email responses) but not always. Not really a sales tactic just a way to get more data on demand before finalizing their own order. I've seen supply tick up on a few other wines in a similar way

Happy with my small Wine Bid haul tonight, which continues my bargain hunting for mature Bordeaux. Maybe I benefited this time from the slow downs near close being reported on the other thread as I had my bids in very early this week (and I refused to chase the 2018 Huet Le Mont 1er Trie when outbid earlier today).

1 x 1970 Pape Clement (I now have 3 bottles)
1 x 1983 Cantemerle (I now have 2 bottles)

Some 1999 & 2008 Delamotte Blanc de Blancs.
The 2008 is fabulous (as is the 2012) [winner.gif]
Good to know; thanks, Howard. Delamotte BdB (both NV & vintage) are pretty regular buys for me; but I don’t recall having tried their ‘08 yet. I trust you mean it’s already drinking enjoyably even now?

I had the 2008 a couple of times over the last year and a half. It is very enjoyable now but my guess is that it will improve a good bit. I am holding mine for them to get more age. The 2012 I would hold. Very promising but very young. It would not be a disaster to drink it but it will get a lot better.

That's good enough for me, thanks again!! Will try some soon. Anyway, I can always get more if I can't keep my hands off these bottles.

Best,
