Another 20% off coupon, another trip to TW.
The 2014 Lanessan restock was once again deleted.
I took the hint on the Lamarque.
Added some more 2015 Prieure Lichine and grabbed the 2016 Fonplegade as I have so little Right bank.
Finally I knocked down some 2015 Luigi Pira.

I bought 6 mags of 2018 Lafite. I see no downside, and probably a good deal of up if the do indeed print special labels.

Robert, this is pure investment, with as I said, no downside. I have a bet with my money guy that I can beat him over a five year payout, wine versus stocks. This was a no brainer.

Two of these -- the Hebrart and the Felsina CCR.

When I announced my partial halt to buying, one exception I made was champagne and good reds in 375 format because I have really grown to like them and had so few. I think I am now approaching (but not quite at) the point at which I will stop buying them too. I may soon be buying nothing but already-aged wines at very good prices. And even there . . . .

Catarratto . . . Branching out to some of the those unknown-to-me 300 varietals out there that Otto has tasted! And instead of my usual one bottle test drive, I went all in for three bottles. (Hey, people can change their usual MO!)

The annual Autumn French Wine Sales (Foire aux Vins) has started in some websites and will be ramping up from now to October.
I often see better price for Bordeaux in the US (or even the UK) but a website just put almost all their Bordeaux at -30% (up to 600€ in an order) so that got some traction. I took some St Juliens as it's an AOC I am lacking in my cellar.
- St Julien Gloria 2016 (27,8€)
- St Julien Branaire-Ducru 2016 (41,9€)
- St Julien Leoville Las Cases 2014 (112€)
- St Julien Leoville Las Cases 2010 (185€).

Never had LLC, I'm looking forward to it... in 20 to 30 years...

They had a lot more stuff but I gotta pace myself :)

Not to burst your bubble, but you may have read here the debate that flares up about LLC every few months—between those who like it and those who don’t. I personally don’t like any LLC made after the ‘66. You might want to figure out if you like LLC and how it matures before laying down recent vintages for the long haul.

This contrasts for example with Leoville Barton, for which there continues to be near-universal love from all camps.
