1997 E&E Black Pepper Shiraz

Wow…there’s oak here. Where’s Jenna Jamison when I need her? You’d think 12 years would let it integrate. I’m enjoying as an after dinner cocktail wine…but this is just fruit and oakbomb right now…which is great as a cocktail or with smoked ribs…LOL.

had a great bottle of the 98 about 3 months ago. still primary and youthful. damn tasty!

I had a 98 a few months ago too…and found it better. This still has a youthful flavor…but no acid, so it falls flat and oaky. I figure this was better drunk while it had baby fat.

I also had a bottle of the '98 a month or so ago. Exceptional wine that was hitting on all cylinders that night.
