2005 Saxum Syrah Booker Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (6/27/2009)
Popped and poured, lucky if it lasted an hour. This is without question a stupendous wine. Smoky, earthy nose. Black coffee, black fruit, roasted meats. Incredible balance. Such a wonderful blend of flavors with a pleasing texture and incredible finish. So many things going on with this wine it is difficult to put into words, all in harmony. A wonderful ballet performed by beautiful people in wonderful shape with tremendous technique. -

Decanted one hour, enjoyed over 4. Seductive nose, ripe fruits, wonderful acidity, earthy, bright, delicious. A cacophony of flavors, textures, smells. This is why I love Paso Robles!
