2005 Cayuse Camaspelo - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley (1/20/2012)
Consumed over two nights. On the first night, the nose was dominated by big jammy fruit. The palate was more restrained and balanced, nice tannins, but smooth. Fruit was balanced with a hint of slate and pepper. On the second night, the nose had evolved dramatically, being more mineral and spice, and on the palate, these elements came forward more, as well, while remaining smooth and balanced. No hint of Cayuse funk, this is definitely the Cab Sauv-driven sister to Flying Pig.
