2005 Château Rauzan Despagne - France, Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur (2/5/2009)
Wonderful bottle for 13 bucks. Took about an hour to open up. Nose of black cherries, a little anise and some coffee. Medium bodied wine with the coffee and dark fruits really carrying over. Some gripping tannins and a touch of acidity that kept this well in balance. My only real complaint was that the finish was a bit short, It seemed to disipate quickly. Still, for 13 bucks, this is a great value.
