If I had to limit my buying to 10 producers ....

If I had to limit my buying to 10 producers, FOREVER (added after original post)

They would be …

disappointed with how little I purchased.

All American… and in no order…

WesMar
Skewis
Maybach
Herb Lamb
Carlisle
Sojourn

Is this for this week, this month, this year or forever?

In no particular order…

Leroy
Dujac
Drouhin
Krug
Chave
Beaucastel
Zepaltas
Carlisle
Forman
Giacosa

Interesting question. Mine:

Krug

Of those I have in my cellar right now:
Pegau
Charvin

Dominus

Had to think about this one…

Giacosa
Rhys
Dauvissat

Bouchard
Jadot
Chapoutier
Voillot
Fevre (Maybe Defaix instead)

Drouhin
Faiveley
Leoville Las Cases
Huet
JJ Prum
Chave
Lopez de Heredia
Giacosa

Yellowtail
Franzia
Bota Box
Black Box

Shall I go on? [rofl.gif]

You forgot Trader Joe’s.

hard question since I don’t know what I don’t know …

This is based off what I can afford, and also with an eye towards diversity. That being said, I submit the following.

JJ Prum … (Love German Riesling, and this stuff is my favorite (and affordable))
Arcadian … (if you’ve been on this board for awhile, this appearing on my list requires no explanation)
Mas de Boislauzon … (see Arcadian comment)
Tablas Creek … (best CA Rhone producer; vast portfolio)
Royal Tokaji Wine Company … (this is on my list instead of a Sauternes producer b/c Royal Tokaji Wine Company has a larger portfolio than all Sauternes producers)
M. Chapoutier … (excellent wines; vast portfolio; wide range of prices)
Clos des Papes … (as much as I love CdP, I still found it hard to put a second Rhone producer on this list … but it would have been harder to keep them off)
Maison Ilan … (I need some Burgundy on this list, and Ilan is my current “exception” to my Rule of avoiding the Burgundy money pit)
Chateau Musar … (unique; ageable; affordable; kind of fills the Bdx. void on this list … almost went Leoville Barton or Grand Puy Lacoste here)
Krug … (need some bubbles, and this is my favorite that I can afford)

… subject to change upon further reflection …

Montelena
Ridge
Herb Lamb
Rhys
Peay
Bouchard
D’Angerville
Rousseau
Jadot
Salon

Off the top of my head…

Lafite
Haut Brion
Margaux
Leflaive
Jadot…for Leo and Connie
Ponsot
DRC
Krug
d’Yquem
Dujac

Your point? newhere

really!?! you can bankroll that list?

Never mind. [smileyvault-ban.gif]

It’s okay, Sax. I’ll still buy you a beer after SEA-PDX next year.

Only listing producers I can actually afford…

Allemand
Gonon
Huet
Clos Rougeard
Foillard
Giuseppe Mascarello
Produttori
Jadot - for variety
And 2 Burgundy producers yet to be discovered…for now…I’ll start with Fourrier and Lafarge.

Yquem
Rieussec
Fargues
Ridge
Dehlinger
JJ Prum
Jadot
Leoville Barton
Donnhoff
Lastly, another burgundy producer or champagne… still exploring.
