2005 Iron Horse Vineyards Wedding Cuvée - USA, California, Sonoma County, Green Valley (1/17/2009)
Lots of Pinot in this sparkling wine. Notes of fresh ginger, gingerbread, Verner’s soda, and baked apples. Full and yeasty and chalky on the palate with a wide spectrum of ginger and apple notes. Still my favorite bottling from Iron Horse, although I did prefer the 2004 vintage to this one. 88-89 points. (88 pts.)

Sounds like IH has improved quality in the last few years. Lauren and I tasted at the winery three years ago and all the current releases at the time were just ok…

Nice note Paul. This is the first Iron Horse bubbly I’ve ever tried, not bad.

i always thought their wines were good but not outstanding. i did really like their 2004 wedding cuvée, however.
