Hi Morgan,

I didn't get an allocation of the Red Wine #2 and wishlisted for a few. Just wondering if mailing list "wishes" get fulfilled prior to offers going out to the wait list or vice versa, and when notification re: "wishes" occurs?

Thanks,
Andy

And to add onto this, when exactly are allocations guaranteed until? I think it said 5 days, so does that mean I have until EOD Saturday to order? I'm hopefully closing on a mortgage today, so trying to avoid any big cc hits before that closes!

The last release was on Tuesday March 8, wishlists were invoiced the following Monday March 14, and waitlist opened Tuesday March 15.

With a 5 day guaranteed allocation, it follows that yes, the guaranteed allocation ends Saturday, then Morgan has a busy Sunday granting the wishlists, which are done before waitlisters get their shot.

Hey Guys,

Right now it looks like the majority of wish-list requests should be able to be granted (we are tight on Portis and Red Wine #2 but most people will get what they want). The allocation period will end Sunday at 12 PM PST as we got the release out a little later than expected on Tuesday. Wish-list requests will be looked at on Monday and then whatever is left (some Monte Rosso Zinfandel, Bedrock Heirloom Wine, and Sonoma Valley Old-Vine Zinfandel) will be offered to the Waiting List on a first-come, first-serve, basis. Hope this clears things up, and thanks again to everyone for such a wonderful release!!

I tried to restrain myself from asking for too many extras, but I'm glad I got everything I asked for. That was a Killer week in terms of wines I "had' to buy.

I don't know why everyone is thanking Morgan. Some of us were kind enough to leave some wine for the others less fortunate. [wink.gif]

What time does Bedrock wine become available today for people not guaranteed an allocation?

I've had Bedrock offers come at 9:45am, 10:08, 10:16, 10:58 and 10:46. All PDT. Check your inbox between 9 & 11 I suppose.

Fantastic - just got my wait list offer! Wish I could have gone all in, but did go 2/2/2 on Monte Rosso, Old-vine and Heirloom Red.

Morgan, after hearing so much about your wonderful wines can't wait to try them!

Got a great allocation (24 bottles, though I left the whites on the table) and everything on my wishlist (brought it up to 24 anyways). Awesome service as always and can't wait to try the new wine. Well, not literally true, since I will wait, even after receipt, but have confidence based on past Bedrock experience that it wait will be well worth it.

My mixed case arrived today! I figure I'll wait a couple of weeks to let any bottle shock settle down before I try one of the old-vine Zins.

Arrived today, debated for a while over which one to open first, went with the heirloom red and enjoying it immensely.

Young, noticeably tannic but not bothersome (to me) - so purple it's almost blue.

Reminds me of the bedrock syrahs in terms of style and the smoky oak aspects, but with a different fruit profile, more in the red fruit direction, and crisper acidity.

Wonderful, will drink more.

Although disclosing where you live is unpopular on this board, can you guys who are receiving delivery this week at least tell us what part of the country you're in? Assuming these are going out regionally, I'd like to know about when to expect my shipment to arrive. Thanks much.

Oh, sorry, I used to have my location visible but I just noticed it is not. In any case, I'm in Long Beach, CA.

+1 But I'd rather have it later and in good condition, so doing my best to be patient. Plus, I'm not exactly running out of things to drink (yet).

I'm the guilt party, or at least one of them. I considered holding off for a few weeks, but I am just down in the city and couldn't imagine any terrible stress from the 50 mile journey. Man, am I glad I decided to pop the '08 #2 - phenomenal wine, drinking very well!

I'll try the Portis Compagni tomorrow, and I feel bad that I'm popping it this soon. The other bottles are resting for now.
