Is this open for comment? neener

Right now, I’m having to drink everything Carrie just took out of one of the refrigerators at the store. Left over white wines from off-lines, by the glass bottles, open stuff reps left over the last 3 three years, etc. All I wanted was some Ketcham, but Noooooooo, time to clean out the refrigerator. This is like asking the pitcher if you can swing at his hanging curveball.

Tonight:
1997 Beringer Private Reserve Bancroft Ranch Merlot
2008 Jones Family Sisters
1996 Jarvis Lake William

Tomorrow:
TBD

Forgot my Buty Cab/Syrah I got from Lot18. Really nice wine…

Absolutely sweetheart. Bring it. [stirthepothal.gif]

Eric,
How were they. Haven’t had a Lake William in a long time, nor a Beringer Bancroft but I remember them being pretty good

We’re on vacation at Fripp Island SC. I found a 2007 Mont Redon CNP in Beaufort. I’ve been wanting to try this as it’s one of the few CNPs that John Gilman has talked up recently, and I’ve had trouble finding it in CA.

Very nice, well balanced and not over-ripe, though the nose was just a touch roasted. Nicely tannic but quite refined in texture - bodes well for keeping. In my experience non-blockbuster CNP has a habit of becoming somewhat Burgundy-like with age and I would hope for that outcome here.

2004 Domaine Berthet Bondet Côtes du Jura Tradition - Took 10 minutes of air but it is drinking lovely now.

So far nothing good. Really gotta step it up tomorrow.

From what I can remember since Friday:

2002 Cos
2003 Cos
2003 St. Pierre
2007 JJ Prum Bernkasteler Badstude Spatlese
2007 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett
2007 Schramsberg Blanc de Blanc
2009 Educated Guess
2008 Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
2001 Chateau Rabaud Promis
2005 Chateau d’Arche
2008 White Burgundy of some sort
2005 Cote de Castillion of some sort

The Lake William is excellent. Well stored bottles should deliver a great drink for another 7-10 years.

The Beringer is perhaps slighty off. Compared to a bottle of this we had about two months ago, it is muted and perhaps a touch blessed by TCA. Not quite as fresh as could be.

The Sisters… flirtysmile

2007 Albert Bichot Domaine Long-Depquit Chablis

Tonight:

2008 Novy Papera Ranch Zinfandel
2005 Carlisle Pelkan Ranch Knights Valley Syrah

Yesterday:

Lining up for tomorrow:

A. Robert Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Oger Cuvée de Réserve
