I grabbed one too and then looked it up after. It's I think a breast cancer charity label (per a CT review comment on a 2015).

Correct, I missed it this morning, how much was it? I got some in its own special daily offer previously

I bought during a previous offer as well. I think it was around the same price, $58 or so.

Absolutely ! The principals have been in the retail wine business in Napa for at least 15 years. I haven't done a large amount of business with them over that time, but every transaction has gone smoothly and there have been no issues with the wines.

While I agree with most of that statement, the past two Marathon i've had to reach out to them after I've received shipment to ask where's my wine.

They oversold a few wines and didn't inform me. I only knew there were missing when I opened the package.
They refunded the purchase after I asked & this most recent time they gave me $10 Credit for the trouble.

Bigger power hour than I expected. Grabbed the following:

 Aubert Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard 2015
 Chateau Pontet-Canet Pauillac 2016
Cheval des Andes Red Blend 2017
Delas Freres Hermitage Les Bessards 2009
Domaine Arlaud Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2017
Domaine William Ferve Chablis Les Clos 2010
Domaine William Fevre Chablis Vaulorent 2010
Peter Michael Chardonnay Belle Cote 2017

Few there were not great deals but grabbed them anyway. Missed out on the Scarecrow '12, SQN '16, SHL '10, Cos '09.

Better power hour than recent ones.

Does anyone watch the Mecum Auto Auctions? I'd love to buy an old car one day, and although the 70' Hemi Cuda and the Shelby Cobra are amazing, I'll never buy one. I am formulating a strategy because there are some killer cars that sell for $10,000-$15,000

I treat this marathon the same way, I am up to 10-12 bottles purchased so far, but everything is in the $10-$30 range. A bunch of Cremants I have never heard of (but Cremant is killer value), that funky Scholium Cinsault - I've heard good things about the winery, but the CT reviews are all over the place. I like to buy a few here and there of value priced wines with "something" I like...a vineyard, producer, etc...

I bought my absolute steal of the year a few weeks ago on WTSO, Heir Apparent Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, 2017, for $17.99 per bottle. I grabbed 4, drank 2, it is one of the best Pinot's I've had this year, wish I had bought 24. I love Anderson Valley Pinot...I don't know the winery but did notice they have it listed for sale at $74.99 and are sold out. Maybe they are sold out because they sent it to WTSO...but OK, thank you!

Possibly a sign of the of the year long economic conditions catching up to many, unfortunately. But yeah it was the strongest power hour I can recall.

I agree it was a strong line up, but nothing really jumped out at me as screaming discount. Most was within 10% of current retail or auction pricing on quick glances.

Correct, I missed it this morning, how much was it? I got some in its own special daily offer previously
I bought during a previous offer as well. I think it was around the same price, $58 or so.
Correct it was $59 today which I think it was the offer was when I bought 4 2016s when it was a daily offer. I just got 1 today to replace what I drank from that, if it was another vintage I would have probably bought a few more but I'm fine with that many. Sadly the Testamatta Bianco I opened a few months (bought from JJ Buckley iirc) was corked. I can get the Casamatta red and rosé at Grocery Outlet here for like $12-14/bottle.

I like these marathons (thought I was surprised to see one announced so soon) but I am maybe partial to the style/format because I had a whole separate career in retail which cumulated and then ended with helping launch online flash sale fashion websites (Gilt, RueLaLa, etc) in the late 00s.

I walk away from these usually satisfied because my expectations are set at:
1) Snag some deals on wine(ries) that I'm familar with.
2) Impulse buy inexpensive wines from regions I'm not too familiar with or lob a few things in the cellar for the "we are having a theme blind tasting and I need stuff to bring" nights.
3) Power hour for some blue chip splurges.

Today I'm in for:
Vincent Paris Cornas La Geynale 2012
Mount Langi Shiraz Billi Billi 2017
Cascina Luisin Barbaresco Rabaja 2014
Cascina Luisin Barbaresco Asili 2016
Xavier Chateauneuf du Pape Anonyme 2015 (Magnum)
Forster Winzerverein Riesling Kabinett Stift Halbtrocken 2018
Bibi Graetz Testamatta Toscana 2016
Antica Terra Coriolis Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2017
Terre Nere Brunello di Montalcino 2015
Raphet Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2017
Yount Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon Epic Reserve Napa Valley 2014

I noticed quite a few things I was going to put into the cart were at the east coast warehouse and I didn't feel like dealing with that. I had horrible service most of the power hour so didn't see much. I was going to get the Aubert Hyde but missed it & I thought about the Charmes-Chambertin thought it would be $ better spent elsewhere.
