Re: LastBottleWines.com (Last Bottle Wines) Deal Discussion Thread
I feel like it is either Barnett, 7&8, or Spring Mountain Vineyards. Only thing that throws me off is that neither Barnett or Spring Mountain sell a Cab for 125 but both sell more expensive bottles.
Either way, it seems like it might be decent wine, if from one of those three.

they have separate offers so my best guess is no. but it's possible.

My AMEX First Bottle offer explicitly excluded purchases made at either Last Bottle or Invino. Check your fine print (I only received a First Bottle offer on AMEX, I know others also had Last Bottle offers).

Cain is on Spring Mountain, and Cain Five sells for $125. Not a pure Cab and also their most expensive wine, I think. Del Dotto also has a Spring Mountain cab for $125 but not sure if they were making this back in 2009. I pulled the trigger on four bottles of the Altruria. What’s interesting is that “Altruria” refers to a utopian commune in Sonoma.JLuch wrote: ↑February 23rd, 2021, 12:18 pm I feel like it is either Barnett, 7&8, or Spring Mountain Vineyards. My Altruria arrived today - still no clue as to the source. I did check the COLA registry for the label and it was registered by Moshin Vineyards although their offerings and price points do not line up with the LB description. I guess if one were really curious they could call Moshin - probably not worth the effort though at this point.MikeY wrote: ↑February 24th, 2021, 5:21 amCain is on Spring Mountain, and Cain Five sells for $125. Perhaps it was labeled there? I was wondering why the bottles say Sonoma when the grapes are supposed to be from Spring Mountain AVA?R Scott Hughes wrote: ↑February 26th, 2021, 8:25 am

Re: Altruria
I emailed them and asked which winery this came from. I don’t know what the big secret is, but all they would tell me is that it was from the Sonoma side of Spring Mountain and that the winemaker was French. I am guessing it is Marston Vineyards with Phillipe Melka as winemaker.
