I need a few more bottles for when my non-wine geek friends come over. Picked up the Evandria Graciano Imperialis 2017 at $12.

agreed, I only took note of the first one because the offer price was more than the "best web" price, so it caught my eye

I did not. It was up there for maybe 60-90 seconds. I love Grange but that's a lot of coin.

Kind of a weak-ish marathon IMO. Lots of clearout high end Napa vineyards and some really expensive stuff but nothing too interesting except maybe the Gaja that i took too long to think about

Re: LastBottleWines.com (Last Bottle Wines) Deal Discussion Thread
My wallet is glad the marathon wasn't any better than it was/is. I had been meaning to buy a few 17 Taylors which they had in both 375 and 750 at reasonable prices and cheaper than retail anywhere in my area by at least $15 a bottle. Other than that, anything else I was interested in, I wasn't interested enough to buy. Some of the clearout high end napa cabs seemed decent, but there's a lot of good wine out there for $+100.
They had some La Chapelle, but it was 2016 and $165. Didn't seem like much of a steal when I have seen the 2017 vintage at retail for around $175.

I snagged the 2018 Gérard Raphet Chambolle-Musigny Les Bussieres. Hope it is great; did not have time to vet it on Cellartracker.

Definitely a much more interesting power hour than last time. Still annoyed I missed out on that magnum of 2000 champagne as well as the $85 CDP mag. Oh well!

I was in Ronda, Andalucia exactly 1 year ago. I don't care if the 2013 La Melonera Encina del Ingles Ronda is any good; I bought 2 bottles. Ronda was terrific family memory and I'm happy to have these bottles.

Got a bottle of 2018 Terre Nere Rosso di Montalcino. I'm low on Italy and the CT notes were good. Unfortunately, this is my 7th bottle. Guess I'll have to get a full case. Don't tell the Mrs.

Can anyone tell me about The Debate? I snagged the 2014 Beckstoffer Dr. Crane cause it seems difficult to mess up grapes from that area and it’s an anniversary year bottling. Did I overpay?

I grabbed a couple each of the Jaboulet Cornas and C-H offers mainly because they're cheap, reliable, and perfect for upcoming dinners with roasts and a thirsty father. Prices weren't special at all but the free shipping sealed the deal.

Dangit, this is why I don't usually bother with these things. I saw the Gemstone cab, saw it said TRB is the winemaker, so I quickly bought some, then I realized it was some weird restaurant bottling of non-estate fruit, and the price was the same as the price on their website. What a rip.

From what I remember, during last marathon they had some really fast lightening style deals starting 9 PM or so on the first day for a couple of hours... I also didn't see Krug or SQN that were displayed on their marathon email photo yet... Hopefully they make an appearance?
