Yeh, I put it in my cart right away and still missed.

Forgot the name, but it was a 1998

Pro tip: if you like V Madrone. They have some great prices on their website. I've bought a lot over the last few months since the AXR people are clearing the old bottles out. Every month they seem to get cheaper (despite selection getting less)

Update. Im at
1x Gardet NV Champagne Blanc de Noir
3x 2014 Tardy Nuits St George
2x 2015 rouget pomerol

Pretty happy with the discipline so far. Regretting not being fast enought with the 2012 Salmon Champagne, Leoville Poyferre, Jadot Anniversary, and 98 Sauternes.

Question: Does the marathon go all night?

It's a 2 day marathon but the late night selection is usually not that good.

Makes sense. My guess is the late night selection gets 'stuck' on a mediocre deal and without enough volume of people to clear it.

It is, but it's about the 135th time it has been offered on one of these sites.

I like it quite a bit but it really benefits from some age. Sign up for Envoyer:
While they don't have it now, they offer it rather often:

The only thing that I've been excited about were 2014 Domaine Jean Tardy et Fils Nuits St. Georges Au Bas de Combe Vieilles Vignes and 2015 Donelan Syrah Cuvee Christine. Neither were amazing deals as I've found them near the same price in other places.

Or Lopa. Both seem to offer very similar deals. Lopa might be better as Envoyer has a previous customer list that more offers go to than and Lopa is relatively new so I'd imagine you would get everything.

There is no power hour for this marathon. I reached out when they started and asked since I didn't see it mentioned in the email. She said they were not doing it for this marathon but maybe for the next.

Gotta budget wisely when the power hour hits!

Yeah Giscours! That was one of my aha wines (2000 vintage) that made an impact on me.
Picked up 3 even though their 2011 vintage doesn't have that great reviews on CT.

I am sorry I missed this one. I have had La Peira from 2007 and 2013. Both were great. I have not seen the 2014 in the market yet.

Here is my CT note on the 2013, which I just had about two weeks ago:
Deep, brooding, dark and rich. Strong earthy aromas with olives and thyme. The fruit was dark red berries, and the finish, especially at the start of the bottle, gave a surprising additional jolt of flavor. A very enjoyable wine to contemplate in the glass. No problem drinking now, but we will cellar our remaining bottles for 3-5 more years to see how it develops. (94 points)

Do you mind if I ask how much they offered it for?

Most of the ones left i haven't had. The 08, 09, 10, 12, and 13 were all very good (especially at the ~$50 price range). The PS was good too but need a lot of air

Thanks, that sounds delicious! I think 2014 was a weaker vintage, but this wine still has very strong reviews on CT. LastBottle sold it for $45.
