New poster here. HI!
Did anyone get in on the latest st Emilion? At $22 it’s tempting.
I went in for a half dozen. There's a lot of $20 St. Emillion currently out there from 2015/16 and I've been stocking up.

I tried the Ascent Cabernet couple months back, and believe it is hidden ridge reserve. SO I still think they do shiners from time to time, but this one sounds different and too costly from my perspective. I would buy the Ascent if offered again.

We have opened two of four bottles purchased. If this is the 2012 Hidden Ridge Reserve, it is not worth the original premium pricing. IMO, the base 55% Slope is a far better wine. Last week we opened bottle 9/15 of our 2012 Hidden Ridge 55% Slope. Way better than the Ascent. The best Cabernet qpr that I have come across.

Does anyone know the source of the Sleeper Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley 2016 that's up now?
Yes, declassified lots of:

MacScreamingScarecrowEagleDonald

But don't tell anyone...

I liked the ascent and would buy again at that price.

LB shorted me 4 bottles of Mondavi cab - showed as being included in a shipment, but wasn't in there. Ugh. Also they still haven't shipped my Marathon wines. Maybe they are waiting for Xmas? New Years? July 4?
