Cristal for $179 is a great price and they can ship with an ice pack. It would be fine.

You can always request that they hold for the fall too - the last couple marathons I've requested they put a shipment hold on my bottles and its never been an issue.

Almost bit on the 2006 Henri Goutorbe Champagne Grand Cru Special Club. Exact same price as Envoyer if you include their shipping fees.

Only grabbed one bottle of Champagne so far, but I'm going to grab more if I can.

I grabbed some of the '08 Core Grenache - hard to pass that one up at $12 bucks (love Core). I tried to snag a bottle of '05 Marquis Philips Nine for old times sake, but missed it.

Yep, just providing the info that got me to bite last marathon. If nothing else, the fruit should be great and that is the majority of the battle. Wish i’d opened it now to see if it was worth getting more.

I’m passing on the Lutums. Without having tried it before I cannot buy through the entire lineup. Plus if I try one and like it, the winery is closed and I’d have to source past vintages at full price, knowing I could have had much better deals. The anguish!

In don’t think they bought the winery, just acquired a lot of inventory.

From LBW email “Several months ago, we made a very large inventory purchase from the winery, which has closed its doors to concentrate on other projects.”
