Grabbed six as well. Have never tried it. 2011 was a rough year in Sonoma because it was cool and rainy, BUT that may actually translate into a very good sparkling wine. champagne.gif

Lang & Reed 2014 CabFranc up now.

If you like Cali Cab Franc then this is worth a try.

Any idea how this would compare to 2014 Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Right Bank (74% Cab Franc). I've been hoping that pops back up on LastBottle. It had some faults in heat and oak--but the finish wasn't one of them. One of the longest, mouth coating finishes I can remember. It was like drinking too rich lobster bisque on the finish.

2015 Theorize Cab up now. I know this is a past berserkerday wine that was offered at $64. Seems like a real steal at $30, but I cannot find much info. Anyone tried this before and what did you think?

It was the 2017 Cab that was at berserkerday and it was $40 unless I'm crazy?

That said, I thought it was fantastic. And I just bought a bunch of these 2015's. Thanks!

I really know nothing about Wine so I have no idea how to describe it, sorry. But I liked it and have drank enough Cabs over the years to know a good Cab from a bad Cab. It's virtually all I drink. Haha.

Good price, nice wine. Bought 4 when they were offered on First Bottle end of December. Drank 2 already. In for 4 more.

Is this the cab they began selling a year and a half or more back that was just a standard cab, not a reserve?

I had got some of that originally from ACCV.

I ordered 6 from First Bottle in December and last week they shipped me 12 accidentally. I sent the extra 6 back. I wonder if those 6 made their way to Last Bottle?

Anyone have any experience with these Lutum Pinot's?
I do like the region and enjoyed some prior stuff from the Sta Rita Hills area before.
It has a distinctive taste.

Is this Lutum a good buy at 33?

Just as an FYI there's a federal law that says you don't have to do that.

Companies used to mail unsolicited stuff to people and then send them a bill for it if they didn't return it. Congress didn't like that, so they made it perfectly legal to keep anything delivered to your address that is addressed to you. That's why Amazon won't ask you to send stuff back of they miss-pick and send you the wrong thing.

I bit on 4, a friend poured me some 2013 Lutum from the Durrell vineyard and it was quite good. Most Lutum's on W-S that aren't at auction are close to $50. Worth a flyer.

Thanks for the heads up...that is good info to have. FirstBottle wasn’t aware they had done it. I voluntarily let them know and sent them back just because I thought it was the right move. Had to resist temptation for sure.

Château Condat 2015 Saint-Émilion for $24 today.

I'm still a novice and have a lot to learn about wine, especially French wine, but I figure it's worth $24 to try a 2015 Bdx. Thoughts?

Don't think I agree with that, you should be able to get a good and reliable Cru Bourgeois 2015 for that sort of money, rather than a no name St. Emilion like this.

I agree. Hard pass. My rule for last bottle is that it must be a well known wine. I’ve had to many duds from them when trying something with no good CellarTracker or wine searcher data.

I bought it at 50% off on BD for $85 or something. Annoying they would sell it direct on here for much more than a liquidator is offering it. Similar to Theorize. Same company.

in their Instagram stories. I like the marathons. they're kind of a PITA because you have to either get lucky or keep refreshing to get the best things offered, but the free shipping on all marathon orders is awesome.

I'll give you my take: it may be for you if you are okay with taking chances on unfamiliar wines that generally are average at best. I had a few more good deals than total busts, but not enough to make it worth my time to constantly monitor the site. The few teaser deals they throw in now and then are gone in seconds. However, I also don't do LBW anymore as I have no problem going over-budget on wines I know are in my wheelhouse and from established wineries. As always, YMMV.

The key is to know what you’re looking for based on daily offers they’ve made since the last marathon. If they didn’t sell out of the daily deal, they’ll offer them during the marathon.

It is also a good opportunity to try a single bottle of something new with free shipping. Know your style and use CT and Vivino to see if the wine fits, and use wine-searcher to make sure the price is good.

I’ve made a few nice discoveries and found a lot of wines I know I like at great prices. A few to mention are Sojourn and V Madrone which are berserkerday wines.

Regarding the weather, you can upgrade to cooler pack shipping for a small fee.

It’s definitely a pain to keep watching the site throughout both days but I’ve picked up some decent half bottles over the past couple marathons. Have had mixed results at best with most of the 750’s I’ve ordered from LBW.
